MUSIC AT SPRUCE STREET UMC
The Psalms tell us to “Sing to the Lord a new song,” and that explains the healthy tradition of music at Spruce Street United Methodist Church. Our traditional Chancel Choir has seasoned lifelong members as well as new people learning to sing. We learn together and provide uplifting choral works for worship. We are a fellowship that prays, supports, and learns together.
Spruce Street United Methodist Church is fortunate to have three octaves of handbells, and ringing is easy and fun! With only two bell notes, beginners can join in at any time. The Bell Choir prepares for special holy days. Handbells are ideal for youth to try music-making!
If you are a pianist or organist who just wants to play now and then, let us know!
Possibilities always exist for solo singers and instrumentalists, as well as men’s quartet or children’s choir. Our music ministry is here to enable the talents that are worshiping at Spruce Street United Methodist Church.

Chancel Choir rehearsal is at 7:00PM every Thursday to sing at 10:45 service.
When the Handbell Choir is scheduled during Sunday service, the rehearsal will be at 6:15PM most Thursdays.
If time commitments are a challenge, singers can elect to join only for Christmas or Easter Cantatas. We try to be flexible!
